This year, Evelyn organised a small family party for Jewel's 2nd bdae instead. And as usual, the bdae girl came, clad in princessy outfit - the sweetest pink tutu skirt u can ever find, with a little silver crown on top of her usually very plaid hair. Cute!
The mummy was super busy today... She came all the way to fetch us from Tampines to Yew Tee and upon reaching the place, immediately went to hang up the party flags, set the 'Pooh and Friends' table cloth, arranged the kid's goodie bags, cake and once in a while, made a few phone calls to get people to buy extra drinks, plates, cups, plus a bit of scolding Javier here and there for making so much noise, calling out for Jewel not to run too far away, going from table to table to 'entertain' the guests, and all these done with a small little one in her tummy. Aiyo, I can't imagine with the addition of another baby in a few mths... God, pls bless her with more 'hands'!!
Anyway, she has always been spoiling market for the rest of us mothers. If she has not been such a super mum and so 'hands-on' in everything, I think I won't feel so stressed with the high expectations I gave myself in motherhood. And for the 1st time when I heard she decided to take a break from CG leadership, I thought for once she has finally decided to be human and normal... hahaha.
Anyway, Georgie has been so co-operative and obedient today. It seems like he knew who's the 'big shot' at the party. Always very wary of Jewel, as she's like the 'lao da jie' whenever she came over on Sat, Georgie has been responding in a very warm manner towards the bdae girl. Well, at least he tried to clap along during the bdae song, went through the cake-cutting w/o breaking out in tears, hugging and doing face-to-face kisses with Jewel before we left the place. Yes! He has finally grown up to another phase, where he's more 'accepting' of other kids and is more sociable. PTL!
The next upcoming few mths are busy mths for me personally as well. I'm now in the last stage of the reno work... should be complete in a wk's time.. Plus some time period we give ourselves for the filling in of furniture and household appliances, we should be able to move from the east to the central west very very soon. Housewarming, the arrival of princess Audrey, 1st month cele, Georgie's 2nd bdae... Woah, better prepare myself well.... Probably I need to get some impartation from the super mum 1st...
