A Grand Affair... :p

I attended a wedding last Sat at St Regis. Wow...I guess it might have been the grandest that I had ever been to. So happening and so much eyeball of the event that my facebook was flooded by their wedding dinner photos, their album, their montage posted up by the different individuals for the whole of 1 week and still counting. I was thinking, 'Wow, this couple is really like the Brangelina of the Indo Svc!' And they do look like Brad and Angelina...

We brought along Georgie with us that evening, and it was really a wrong move. Though I enjoyed Georgie's company (coz he really helped us get quite a lot of limelight that evening hee hee)...but I totally missed out the embasking into the luxurious ambience, great fine dining cuisine, the fellowship with other friends and the many performances of the live band. That's b'coz Georgie kept hopping, fridgeting, playing with the cutlery for the whole night and I have to keep on carrying him in and out of the ballroom. He was really funny... amazingly, he didnt cry b'coz of the loud march-in/march-out and montage music (in fact, he was quite captivated by the montages and videos) but he cried at the 'Cheers' (The finer version of Yum Seng) and at the laughter of the guests..

A few items that's quite special:
(Of coz, other than the bride's beautiful gown specially purchased from Europe, and their many distinguished guests for the evening) It was the dance that the bride had with her dad, and in the middle of the dance, the groom came and took over her hand. SO SWEET AND ROMANTIC!! It's like the dance in 'Beauty and the Beast'... Oops, no, I mean it's like the dance Cinderella had with her prince. I had wanted that for my wedding! but then coming to think of it, I think my dad would feel really awkward if I were to arrange for that. After all, my parents (and Yo's parents as well) were more singlet and shorts type, karaoke king and queen, and it was more fun to have 'Yum Seng' than 'Cheers' for our family.

Another amazing thing was the decor of the chinese church hall during the matrimony. Their theme colour was white and red. So, our dear chinese church hall green curtains were all changed to nice creamy white!!

Anyway, no matter how great the wedding has turned out to be. Every bride will still feel that her own wedding is the best! That's because after the last handshake, and last 'thank you for coming' you've said at the end of the evening, what's most blissful is when you woke up the next morning and found that you've married the most wonderful guy in the whole world...

(Aww......... :p)

And So I'm Back Blogging...

Sorry guys, have been missing out on my blog updates for like 3 wks? Have been quite pre-occupied with the day-to-day activities that I simply find no energy to blog at the end of the day. It's amazing that right now I find myself needing to hit the bedsheets before 12 or 1230am.

Quite a lot of happenings during my absence on 'Charlotte's Web'. How should I start? Maybe i shall try out the systematic way by categorising. Hope you don't find reading my blog as if it's a report :)

Work:
Yes, I'm very much pre-occupied in my job. From a 'scouting for good lunch deals' person to a 'stay-in-office lunch' girl. That's b'coz recently I'm trying to pack myself with meeting clients and doing proposals for the list of developing clientele accounts I'm being assigned with. It's a challenging task, and I'm in the midst of breaking new grounds, adjusting to my new boss, whom in my opinion, is like Meryl Streep in 'The Devil Wears Prada' (I shall leave the details aside :p). Nonetheless, I'm enjoying this process, though it may be teeth-griting, but yet the satisfaction after every accomplishment is sweet.

Family:
Ya ya..I'm going to blog about my son, again. Haha... His newest trick: blowing whistle.. (What! Isn't it a bit too early for an 8-mth toddler?) Well, again...to be surrounded by 5 adults at home, more or less, he'll definitely pick up some of their habits... Of coz, it's not a full & complete whistle, but the lip-pouting with bits of saliva flying all around is there. Not a bad habit though... at least when he's old enough to attend children church, he could be involved in the cheer-leading team or at least lift up the vibes during their praise & worship.

Friends:
Yeah...I'm looking forward to attend weddings after weddings for the next 4 months? Ya, one wedding per month... Starting from 1, tmr evening. Woah...sweat sweat... But of coz, happy.. to see my friends marrying off and starting a new phase in their life, and of coz being promoted to be a mum real soon... To my girlfriends: Don't put off the idea of having kids early (if you can afford it). Why? You see ah, if you have kids soon, you will have lots of benefits like:

Our kids will be around the same age...
- We can exchange toys and mum tips and clothes within our own circle.

- We can exchange past yr exam papers when they go to school around the same time.

- We can take nice group pic with our 'pride' w/o anyone of us feeling left-out (ha ha)

- We can relax and go for a nice hol together once our kids grow older and they can take care of themselves.

- When they grow up to be of a marriageable age and decide to pair with each other, maybe it will make things easier to discuss about the no. of wedding tables, dowry and stuff like that? Or not?

Anyway, I know I'm being ridiculous...but all the above possibilities r quite feasible..

Hmm.. so how? Karen & Ruxin... Babies for you?
