I Need To Remember I'm Expecting
These 2 weeks were super busy for me. Last Thurs and Fri, I went to Medan to attend one of Yo's friends' wedding. He was actually one of our entourage when we got married. If those of you Ah Yees remember, he actually did the "Bra Dance" together with Yo during the sabotage. We came back on a Sat morning, then just 2 hours later, went to fetch Yo's mum who was here in S'pore.
Then Sun came our weekly service, followed by our appreciation service at JW till 1030pm. Whew! What a long day. And then Mon came for us to collect our keys to our new flat. I went back to work on Tues and realised that my desk was topped with Xmas gifts from my colleagues. And I have not done any Xmas shopping yet. So that evening, I went off to Tampines Mall, followed by Century Squ and then finally Tampines One, to do all my Xmas shopping for all of them and also for my family. That evening, I was too overly ambitious. Over a span of 2 hrs, I literally continued walking around the malls without much rest. Though I'm satisfied with the stuff I've got, but I FORGOT I WAS 2 MTHS PREGNANT!
Nearing the last few stops, I was feeling super nauseous and couldn't stop 'vomitting' (into the air) as I entered every shop outlet. Yes, I still continued walking into every shop. The last straw came when I began to feel a bit dizzy... Alright, it really was my fault. I was overly ambitious and I forgot I have a little one in my womb. From that evening onwards, I told myself that it's really no joke. I should start to be careful not to strain my body anymore. Sorry 'Audrey' or 'Aiden' (whatever the gender may be), mummy shall be careful nowadays...
Anyway, we finally collected the keys to our new flat. My mum kept reminding us:" You young people may not believe, but I don't care, you got to sprinkle white glutinous rice at the 4 corners of every room. And while you sprinkle, shout "Huat Ah... Huat Ah...". Well, that's where my helper comes into the pic. I told her to do accordingly (we have to fulfill all righteousness towards my parents) and the funny thing is as she's "performing the rites", Georgie ran behind her, getting all excited when he saw what my helper was doing. He even stretched out his hand to ask for the rice... And then at 1 moment, he accidentally tripped over the rice grains because there were just simply too many on the floor. Haha...
Just some pics of our new flat:
Our tiny living room (good enough for a small family - Do you see that Fuji Xerox bldg? Beware prudential gang, I'm watching you, hee hee)
Georgie running in his room (with the tiny balcony, which we are still deciding what to do with it, cause we don't dare to step out)
Georgie following behind his daddy while checking around for defects
