Einstein's Brainy Baby Series
I have been exposing Georgie to the Einstein's Brainy Babies Series since he was abt 3-4 mths old & realised recently that it really helped him learn how to be more attentive & easy to relate to the things around him. It did help him in his language as well. Recently, he could pronounce words like 'Bird', 'Blue', 'Ball', 'Balloon', 'Fish', 'Fan' (though not so clear-articulated yet)... but I didn't really understand why most of the words start with the letter 'B' or 'F'.. I find this series quite good as they used visuals to engage with toddlers.
The funny thing was there was once when we were walking along Orchard Road, when he pointed at the street lamps which are round, and he called them 'Balloon'.... Oops, wrong words used.. But at least, he can associate the shape of the object as round.
And there was another time when my dad made a casual statement: 'Where is your friend?' Georgie pointed to the ceiling fan. He thought it was 'fan'.... that my dad was asking. Ok, in this case, it should be my dad who didn't pronounce accurately that misled him.. Hee hee..
